The states of New York, Washington and California are among worst virus-hit areas as the number of fatalities have surged to up to a hundred in the last 24 hours, bringing the sad tally to 389 deaths since the start of the outbreak. Coronavirus has infected at least 33,000 people nationwide so far, according to news reports.
